ABOUT THE EVENT
TICKET The Music of Michael JacksonA star of MJ: The Musical from London’s West End is coming to Bratislava.
The main idea is simple: we bring you the very best of the West End musical – performed by the artist who portrays this role in the musical about Michael Jackson. Another evening of the Symfónia umenia festival will be built around highlights from MJ: The Musical, which has already been seen by more than 5 million people worldwide.
Mitchell Zhangazha – the current West End performer of Michael – will appear alongside the Gustav Brom Radio Orchestra under the direction of Vlado Valovič, complemented by a string section and a vocal ensemble. We present a concert format that preserves the arrangements, rhythm, and pure sound. The program is built around the music – precise arrangements, accurate performance, and a true concert sound, without superficial imitation.
Mitchell Zhangazha is a British musical theatre actor and singer performing in London’s West End, where he appears in MJ: The Musical as Michael. He has been on stage since childhood – according to an interview with LondonTheatre, he made his West End debut as a child in the original cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He has appeared in productions such as Dear Evan Hansen (understudy for Evan and Jared), for which he won the Best Understudy/Swing award at the Black British Theatre Awards 2022. He has also performed in the West End production of Ain’t Too Proud (Eddie Kendricks).
The event is presented by the Bratislava–Ružinov Borough as part of the international multi-genre festival Symphony of Art.
