Slovak premiere – RockquiemRockquiem is a rock-symphonic adaptation of Mozart’s Requiem (K. 626), originally composed in 1791.The project was initiated by Daniel Landa and Manfred Schweigkofler (Bolzano), with the musical adaptation composed in 2002 by Stefan Wurz. The world premiere took place on 3 August 2003 in Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague, and the theatrical version premiered on 8 April 2004 at the Nuovo Teatro Comunale in Bolzano. Rockquiem was later presented at several European festivals, including the Szeged Open Air Festival (Hungary) and the Bergen Opera Festival (Norway).The Slovak premiere will be conducted by Petra Torkošová, featuring the Technik STU Choir and a Festival symphony orchestra.Part I: Rock classics in symphonic arrangementPart II: Rockquiem
